Read the passage: Design brief: a timber garden studio

A secondary school wants a small timber garden studio (4.8 m × 3.6 m internally) for art classes. The design team proposes: ground screws instead of a concrete slab; a timber-frame floor, walls and mono-pitch roof using C24 spruce studs at 600 mm centres; 150 mm wood-fibre insulation; untreated Irish larch cladding on battens; a breathable membrane; and a large north-facing window for even daylight. The studio must be easy to dismantle and relocate in the future.

Numeric answerExam-style long question (Section B style)
The 4.8 m long wall is framed with studs at 600 mm centres, with one stud at each end. How many studs are needed for that wall (ignoring extra studs at openings)?
Whole numbers, decimals (2.5) or fractions (3/4).
Hint 1

Find the number of 600 mm spaces in 4800 mm.
